Our store is located on the promenade with a beautiful view of the Øresund coast and the boats. Here you will meet passionate employees with many years of experience in the surf, ski and clothing industry. We are a friendly and professional team, ready to guide you through your purchase of new surf and ski equipment.
Gumpel & Co was founded in 2006 by Dorte and Bent Gumpel. Read more below.
Meet the team
History
Gumpel & Co has been a regular fixture at Rungsted Harbour for quality-conscious ski and summer customers since 2006. The store was founded by Bent Gumpel and Dorthe Stamow and has developed over the years with a wide and hand-picked range, personal service and strong customer relationships.
With the webshop, which was launched in the early 10s, the entire country was invited along for the journey.
In August 2025, the baton passed to Kasper Wadum and Oliver Walbum, who, together with Bent Gumpel, will continue to lead the store in the same spirit — with presence, professionalism and passion — combined with new ideas and a modern, digital direction.
Gumpel & Co remains a vibrant store with soul, where quality and good service are always at the center!

We take pride in selecting the best brands and putting together the most interesting product portfolio! Our items are personally selected by our staff, so you will only find items that we can vouch for ourselves!
In the summer you will find a wide selection of summer clothes that ooze summer vibes! Here we have clothes from the surf brand Sundek, the Danish brand Blue Sportswear, Patagonia and many more clothing brands!
In addition to clothing, you will also find quality wetsuits from Rip Curl, O'Neill and Patagonia as well as surf equipment from various renowned brands!
In winter, we have a wide selection of ski equipment and ski clothing from top brands such as Head, Atomic, Rossignol, Peak Performance, Goldbergh and Bogner! Our winter collection is always spiced up with exclusive outerwear from Parajumpers, UBR and Scandinavian Edition.
